    • Inspect vehicle for customers concern. Scan PCM for codes. One code only stored at this time. P0299- Low engine power. Road test vehicle. At this time the engine runs well. Further inspection found there to be no engine oil registering on the dipstick and the valve cover is leaking. At this time recommend to change the engine oil and filter using a JB engine oil flush kit, replace the valve cover, clear PCM and road test vehicle. NOTE: Even if these services are elected to be completed, the check engine light still may come on and additional inspect and repairs may be needed at additional cost. Customer advised.
    • Change engine oil and filter. Perform 38 point inspection. Check battery. Rotate tires and inspect brakes.
    • Replace leaking valve cover assembly.

    • Inspect vehicle for customers concern. Scan PCM for codes. Two codes stored at this time. P0303- Misfire #3 cylinder and P0171- Lean exhaust. road test vehicle. Under acceleration the engine runs well. There is a misfire felt at idle. Visually inspect engine. No obvious problems noted at this time. This issue needs further inspection.
    • Recommended services at this time: Engine oil and filter change. Manuel transmission fluid change.
    • 38 Point AAA Maintenance inspection. Recommended services: Oil and filter change. Manuel transmission fluid change. License plate light bulbs.
    • Further inspect poor idle, codes P0303 and P0171. Observe scan tool data. Confirmed misfire For the #3 cylinder. Inspect spark plugs. (Spark plugs and coils appear new). Found ALL spark plugs to be loose. Spark plugs themselves OK and gap is too specs. Re install spark plugs and torque too specs. Smoke intake system. Found strong evidence of a vacuum leak around the #3 injector, which would account for the misfire at idle and lean code. At this time recommend to replace all injector seals and clean individual fuel injectors.
    • Remove fuel injectors and replace external seals.
    • Clean 4 fuel injectors.
    • Change engine oil and filter using a JB engine flush kit.
    • Replace manual transmission fluid.

    • Inspect vehicle for customers concern. Found loose axle nuts going thru the outside spindle. Tighten nut, right and left sides. Noise still present. Found the engine cradle bolts to be loose. Noise still present. This issue needs further inspection. Possible right front strut problem. Customer advised- Declined further inspection.
    • Further inspect knocking noise. Further inspection found multiple loose bolts around right front area of vehicle. Tighten bolts as needed. Road test vehicle. Knocking noise is no longer present.

    • Change engine oil and filter. Perform 38 point inspection. Check battery. Rotate tires and inspect brakes. Recommended services: THERE WAS NO ENGINE OIL IN THE ENGINE!!!! That was the reason the engine oil pressure light was coming on!!! License plate light bulbs. ALL fluids EXCEPT engine oil need serviced. Needs serpentine belt. Needs tires. Needs front and rear brakes. Needs alignment. Power window master switch missing.
    • Replace license plate light bulbs.
    • Replace transmission filter
    • Flush and exchange transmission fluid.

    • Replace worn serpentine belt.

    • Inspect vehicle for customers concern. Ran engine and observe scan data. The coolant temp gets to 240 degrees within 7 minutes. Both speeds for the radiator cooling fans operate too specs. The heater works too specs. The water pump is very noisy and loose. MINIMUM repairs at this time would be to replace the eater pump, serpentine belt and cooling system pressure cap. NOTE: Even if these repairs were elected to be completed, the engine still may have an overheating problem and may require additional inspection and repairs at additional cost. Customer advised. At this time customer only authorized the water pump and thermostat only.
