- Inspect vehicle for customers concern. Scan PCM for codes. One code only stored at this time. P0299- Low engine power. Road test vehicle. At this time the engine runs well. Further inspection found there to be no engine oil registering on the dipstick and the valve cover is leaking. At this time recommend to change the engine oil and filter using a JB engine oil flush kit, replace the valve cover, clear PCM and road test vehicle. NOTE: Even if these services are elected to be completed, the check engine light still may come on and additional inspect and repairs may be needed at additional cost. Customer advised.
- Change engine oil and filter. Perform 38 point inspection. Check battery. Rotate tires and inspect brakes.
- Replace leaking valve cover assembly.
