- Connected a/c gauges, good freon pressure in system. Let a/c run at idle for half hour, a/c remained working along with cooling fans. Test drove vehicle, a/c stopped blowing cold and a/c switch blinking. Returned to shop and saw compressor not engaged. Found no ground going compressor clutch relay. Further diagnosis found RPM sensor not sending proper signal to PCM to ground compressor relay. Probable cause may weak compressor clutch. Recommend replacing compressor with orings, add a/c oil and recharge with recheck. Need to replace compressor first before we can do further testing, may have other a/c problems. Customer oked a/c repair. After installing new compressor with orings, a/c oil and recharge rechecked a/c system, no other a/c problems found at this time. Note, TPM light on, all tires have proper air pressure.
